Geophysical Investigation to delineate subsurface features at WA (23/10/2010)

  • Excavating a test pit.
  • A rock found in a test pit.
  • Sand found in a test pit.
  • Test pit and subsurface materials.
  • Test pit and subsurface materials.
  • Display a sample GPR radargram using elevation of the surface.
  • GPR data and interpolated subsurface layers.

A geophysical investigation at WA has been completed by GBG. The object of the investigation was to provide increased information on the nature and levels of subsurface material at the site, in particular the rock strength of the limestone bedrock, possible karstic features, and the density of the overlying sand.
