GBG Australia undertook nondestructive and support roles in the assessment of the support structures of the Overhead Wiring Structures (OHWS) on the Country Platforms at Central Station, Sydney, NSW. The initial investigation was undertaken on the wooden support posts at platform level by tap testing, Surface Penetrating Radar and endoscope investigations. These investigations were used to assess the structural integrity of the collumns.

The second task that GBG was involved in was providing project management, support crew and equipment for the enigneering investigation of the metal supports above and below the roofline on the country platforms of Central Station, Sydney. Project management for this investigation included developement of safety plans and organisation of support personal and equipment. Support personal included a working at heights safety supervisor and Elevated Work Platform (EWP) operator. Support equipment supplied included a Scissor lift for access to the roof lines andlights and generators during works conducted at night.
